When you really think about it, a pair of pajamas is actually the sexiest clothing there is! So why not give your girl a pair to show that you care?

No, it’s not really about the fashion. Pajamas can actually be sexy when they are in satin or silk with just the right cut. Today, you can actually find racy pajama lines. But, really, those comfy and decent cotton pajamas can turn up the heat.

Breakfast in bed is a luxury that neither of you can afford except, maybe, on Valentine’s Day. Go ahead; be naughty for just one day. Cancel all your appointments, leave your phone off the hook, and basically get off the grid. Not even the household chores should bother you today. It’s all about the two of you.

In the morning, arrange an extra special breakfast tray and eat in bed together. Serve simple breakfast fare, but make it special by throwing in a long-stemmed rose and some chocolates.

Eat off the same plate, even taking the time to feed each other small bites. When was the last time you did this? Then lie back in bed, or watch some TV, or go and get the paper. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you do it together. Nothing else matters except each other.

And sometimes, this is where things will really fall into perspective for both of you. Sure, Valentine’s Day is about the big entrances and gooey words and mushy moments, but that’s only part of it. You’ll realize that there’s a bigger part. There’s the small annoyances, the big fights, the making up process, but underneath it all, the solid foundation of love and trust. You’ll realize that this is what really matters in the end.

This is the one day, out of the other 364, that you’ll get to celebrate and cement the bond that you’ve created with that special person with whom you chose to spend your life with. No need for big celebrations and flashy gifts. The gift of each other is enough.
