The Sadness Of A Broken Romance
Posted at Mar 10th, 2010 in Relationship Advice
There are countless articles and blogs on the internet which address the issue of broken relationships. A lot of them cause you to reflect on the meaning of love. Some of them cause you to review whether it is worth entering into a relationship if the bottom line is you could end up heart broken or worse still emotionally bankrupt. The mere thought of a what once was a loving meaniful relationship breaking into pieces can reduce you to despair.
The feelings of lost love can consume your life as you remember all the times you shared together. Memories of places visited, things done and special moments shared can cause you to reach a place of not wanting to let go of the past. These feelings trap you into placing your life on hold and the deep wounds of the breakdown not healing. Indeed you could argue that your life stands still as you grieve like a widow over a relationship that has died.
If you consider for a moment the person who brought about the relationship breakdown, they are often oblivious to the depth of despondency you may be feeling. Frequently they do not even care about the feelings of sadness you are encountering. This should be sufficient enough reason for you to move on with your life. Your life should not be suspended because you are hurt by another person’s departure from your life.
There is so much in life to enjoy. Why live a substandard life just because a relationship did not work out? It is not worth it. Move on with you life. Renew your mind by cleasing it of all thoughts of the past relationship which are negative and non productive. Forgive the person who left you and get revenge by meeting the will of God for your life and live happily ever after. Sadness only delays this process because you create a negative environment around you.
Make a point today of choosing to stop being sad and be happy!
