Is Moving On Better Than Making Up After A Breakup?
Posted at Dec 27th, 2009 in Relationship Advice
There’s no really accurate result on what is the better move to make after a breakup - moving on or making up. Both moves have certain resolutions that will help you decide whether you want to go or stay in the relationship.
Making a major decision is not a thing one should act on quickly - it’s a thing one should spend more time thinking before coming into something. Sometimes, especially when the emotion is too intense, we neglect to make the right decision and go for what the intensity has dictated us to do. Spending more time over a decision-making is very important for it can prevent you from committing mistakes again.
Does this make sense to you? How can you tell which ones are worth saving and which ones will be wisest to let go?
You begin by asking yourself this critical question: do you really want to work things out? The knee jerk reaction may be to answer a resounding “yes” and getting busy making that happen. If you put a proper amount of thought to the question though you might realize that you were giving a lot more to the relationship than your ex was. This is a sign of an unhealthy relationship. You need to be equal partners and equal contributors in the relationship to make it work.
If you are in a one-way relationship, it’s more likely to fail rather than to succeed. Same with revitalizing a relationship. If the other half does not work hard like he’s suppose to, chances are the making up of the relationship will be in vain.
The willingness to save the relationship by working hard can really make a difference. But if the case is you are the only one who works hard to save it, forget it. It will not do you good, after all.
If you are both willing to work and have made equal sacrifices and contributions to make the relationship work in the past you might have the perfect scenario for magical relationship recovery.
