These are some questions I hear most often when calls come in to my office: “Do we need to see a therapist? I think we have sexual problems? How do we find the right type of therapist? A sex therapist, what the heck is a sex therapist?” It never fails to amaze me, that the mere mention of sex and human sexuality continue to titillate and cause a state of unrest for most, when thrown into the mix of everyday conversation.

Most men have fears - some don’t like spiders, others don’t like heights, and still others fear going bald or getting a pot belly. These are not things that men naturally lay out on the table and discuss. One very common fear among men, though, that should be discussed, is the fear of approaching women.
The first thing a man needs to do to overcome approach anxiety is to practice approaching women constantly. Practicing will help you overcome what you fear, make you more comfortable, confident and more successful with women and dating. Women can sense confidence in a man - it’s like a cologne to them. Having more will certainly help you get her number.
